Gwen believes that true healing comes from treating the whole person, not just the symptoms. Her approach is rooted in the wisdom of traditional Chinese medicine and supported by evidence- based research studies.
Having gone through sports injuries herself, she has a deep understanding of the physical and emotional challenges that pain can bring. This is why she loves helping people, whether it’s with injury recovery, managing long-term health issues. She also has a special interest in women’s health. As a mother of two, she truly relates to the unique frustrations and changes related to menstruation, menopause, and signs of aging.
Before moving to New Zealand, Gwen was an English teacher and yoga instructor in Korea. Studying Chinese medicine had been a long-held dream, and her inspiration for its philosophy is still ongoing. She trained at the New Zealand School of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine and finds great joy in applying its principles to help others.
When she is not in the clinic, you might find her enjoying sci-fi/fantasy movies or practicing martial arts.
